An old school friend of mine once said: "Your chances of success in business & anything really, increase significantly when you love what you are doing!!"

My story begins late in 2006... I was so busy doing the things that HAD to be done that there was no more time for doing things I LOVED doing.  I found myself simply existing from day to day.  I had forgotten who I was, what I loved, what made me come alive. Thankfully though, through a series of events and chance meetings with people (well actually I don't believe in chance) my ideas on life and business started to get challenged.  I began asking questions like, "What do I love, what am I passionate about, what makes me come alive?" "Can you really do what you love and love what you do?"

At this point in my life I discovered 2 incredible life lessons.  Firstly, never under estimate how important it is to surround yourself with the right people, people who will fill you up and move you forward.  Secondly...how powerful your thoughts are.  They govern your life and if you thinking the wrong ones, you can live in a place of destruction until you die.  I made a conscious decision that from that moment on, I would NEVER, EVER do anything I hated just simply because it had to be done.  I would find a new way, a way to fill my day with things I love, things I am passionate about, things I was born to do. 

But now I sat with a new dilemma.  What did I love doing? It was another dear friend who steered me in the right direction when she said "Think back to when you were a child.  What did you love doing most? What little games did you play and what did you do?"  Well that was easy, when everybody else was playing with their dolls, I was playing "business lady" with my mom's paper-feed calculator.  I was climbing in trees and decorating my Wendy House and making wonderful inventions from leftover chicken and mayonnaise.  When those memories came flooding back to me, something inside me started to come alive.  I felt energized for the first time in years! "But how do I make a business out of something I love?" I asked myself.  Was this even possible?

The answer to that question is YES!  You are looking at it.  Create A Home .co.za is the tangible evidence of a dream come alive. But this dream was not birthed alone.  I had many close friends and accomplished people that used their talents and treasures within to piece each element together.  Sometimes it was a word of encouragement, just telling me to keep going, sometimes it was to do things like designing the music, filming the video's or sharing business concepts.  I never knew that the hardest journey I would ever walk was the one that leads you to the very thing you were born to do...and the hardest battles were fought against myself, with self-doubt and fear overwhelming me at times. But when you find the thing you were created to do, through your Creator - the courage comes, the tenacity stays, your dream is within reach. So years on, after many battles fought, you are now also part of my purpose.  My hope is that my ideas, advice or the great business discovered...will hopefully make your life a little easier and inspire you to live your dreams.  WELCOME HOME.
